Glenn, here from several people is what I can offer you as potential sources of expert information, in no order of priority:
1. Bill Hanna out of Reston (703.476.7012). He recently worked at Willow Wood that had a large burial component to the study. wfhanna@verizon.net <
2. Stephen Potter of the NPS recently tried this method at the Antietam Battlefield.
3. Michael Trinkley of the Chicora Foundation in Columbia, SC has done a lot of work with unmarked burial sites, and cemeteries in general. They are a nonprofit archeological consulting group. I imagine he either uses or has used gpr to do that work.
4. Kenneth Robinson of the Public Archaeology Program at Wake Forest University is currently employing ground penetrating radar for an NPS project in Abingdon. He has a lot of experience using a variety of geophysical testing methods. You can Google his name for contact and background information.
5. Bruce Bevan, Geosight, 356 Waddy Drive, Weems, VA 22576; 804-435-0054; geosight2@gmail.com
